Lott's Weekday Windfall Creates Two Overnight Millionaires

The Lott, Australia's official lottery provider, has announced two major winners in the Weekday Windfall draw on Monday. A Penshurst grandfather from New South Wales and Liam Payne from Queensland each took home a life-changing prize.

The New South Wales winner, a grandfather who has played the lottery for over three decades, matched the winning numbers 28, 15, 5, 26, 30, 16, 14, 9 to scoop AU$1,002,459.70. He revealed that he used his family members' birthdays on his winning ticket. The lucky man, who hopes his luck continues, purchased his ticket from The Lott's official website.

In the same draw, Liam Payne from Queensland also became an overnight millionaire. This year alone, there have been 227 division one winning entries, with 61 coming from New South Wales. The Lott has seen an increase in online purchases, with the winning ticket in this draw bought online.

The two winners are set to change their lives with their newfound wealth. The Penshurst grandfather plans to save the money and look after his family, while Liam Payne's plans remain unknown. The Lott continues to create millionaires, with 227 division one winning entries so far in the fiscal year 2025.
